Lamisil (terbinafine) is an antifungal medication that fights fungus-caused infection. It treats infections caused by fungus affecting fingernails, toenails and even scalp hair of children ages 4 and above.
Lamisil is an effective treatment for athlete’s foot. It provides healthy foot care with its fungus-fighting properties. Terbinafine hydrochloride treats fungal or yeast infections causing athlete’s foot. It kills the fungus, liketinea cruris(jock itch), ringwormandcandida albicans(athlete’s foot) to prevent it from reproducing and ultimately, stop infection. Terbinafine is available in cream, powder or tablet forms. If used as a cream, it may be applied topically to treat infections located on the superficial skin. The best part about Terbinafine cream is it takes effect in just half the time needed by other antifungal creams.
Lamisil works by inhibiting the activity of the Gott enzyme, which plays a crucial role in breaking down prostaglandins. This triggers a cascade of events that lead to the>) the*) elimination of fungi, which helps to eradicate infection. With reduced levels of prostaglandins, Lamisil leads to the*) breakdown of terbinafine hydrochloride, a compound that fights fungus on the skin. This stops the fungi from reproducing and ultimately, freezes infection.
Take Lamisil exactly as it was prescribed for you. You should take it with food to help prevent a fatty meal ( unfolds ) from being overwhelmed by the medicine. If you experience any severe side effects or allergic reactions, talk to your doctor.
Do not stop taking Lamisil suddenly, as it may lead to withdrawal syndrome. It is advised to continue taking Lamisil for the prescribed duration for at least 3 days after completing the treatment to minimize the risk of side effects.
Take your Lamisil as advised by your doctor. You should inform your doctor if you experience any signs of an allergic reaction, like skin rash, itching or dizziness.
Avoid taking alcohol with Lamisil, as it may reduce the effectiveness of this medicine. You should also avoid taking it with food or milk as they may affect the effectiveness of this medicine.
Stop taking Lamisil immediately if you experience any of the symptoms listed above: skin rash; dizziness or lightheadedness; nausea; vomiting; or a rash that spreads. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen.
Note:
Lamisil contains the active ingredient terbinafine hydrochloride. Do not use Lamisil if you are hypersensitive to any, including Lamisil, terbinafine or any other antifungal, has terbinafine or any allergic reaction.
Like any medication, Lamisil can cause side effects, but not everyone experiences them. If you experience any side effects, you should contact your doctor immediately.

Directions
Apply Lamisil Spray once a day for 7 days
1. Clean and thoroughly dry the affected areas of the skin
2. Hold the bottle upright or upside down, and spray sufficient amount to wet the treatment area thoroughly, covering the affected skin and surrounding area
3. If you need to apply Lamisil® Spray between your toes, fingers or buttocks; under a breast or armpit; or in the groin region, cover the area with gauze after the spray has been applied. This is particularly useful at bedtime.

Precautions
Lamisil Spray should only be applied to the skin on the outside of the body. Wash hands thoroughly after application to avoid infecting other parts of your body.

If you use it for only a few days, you may not eliminate the fungi from the affected areas. As a result, the infection may return soon after you stop using the product.
